According to generally accepted opinion, the inauguration of Dmitriy Medvedev as the President of Russian Federation is considered to be the continuation of two presidential terms of Vladimir Putin, which had such features as Kremlin domination and offensive foreign policy. During my visit to Moscow I met some leading political figures and representatives of different age groups and intellectual circuses and this experience convinced me that the opinion, given above, is too simplified and premature.
